Throne and Liberty: Player-Environment Interaction

Source:Lootwow

Mar-30-2023

Throne and Liberty creates a seamless world that is seamless from battlefield to replica, with three-dimensional terrain given a sense of life and vitality, where players feel comfortable on the flat, but can move freely through rope movements and incarnation as animals that overcome gravity. Based on this, the open field features three pillars: environments, local events and memorials.

Environment

Environment: day and night, rain and wind have been added to create subtle changes in the territory. Daytime is set to 4 hours, nighttime is set to 1 hour, and late night is considered to be a special time period. Since some players have a fixed online time, the time cycle is set to not be divisible by 24 hours, so that players are not always online during the day or always at night.

The weather ratio was set to 8:2, and once the weather changed, it was maintained for 30 minutes. In other words, players don't know when it will rain, but if it starts to rain, they know it will continue to rain for at least 30 minutes. Compared to the earliest plans, the wind has weakened. While rain and night are easy to express visually, wind is difficult and not easily perceived from the perspective of the scenario, so this is achieved through the UI by increasing long-range projectiles and gliding distance.

The first change to the environment for players is player skills. The dagger skill Ghost Dance increases movement speed at night, and the venom effect of Poison Blood changes depending on whether it is day or night. Lightning Chain is activated in the rain or when the target is wet, shifting the current to flank multiple targets at once, while Roxy Courage, shooting extra arrows when the wind is blowing, increases damage. When it rains, buildings occupied by guilds in occupation battles can pool water in low areas, making it impossible to fight in those areas. Some ancient bosses have to be flushed out with water when terrain debuffs appear, but when it rains the water level of the fountain rises, making it easier to clean.

The environment has also changed the ecology. Passive monsters are replaced with active attacks at night or increased regeneration of plant-based monsters when it rains, and the stronger the monster the higher the reward. In addition, depending on the day or night, the strength and drops of field bosses may change. Also, the system is set to give a few players the ability to control the environment for 10 minutes, a skill that can only be used twice a day and can only be used by the top ranked person in a given ranking each day.

Sometimes certain copies are only open when it rains, but even if you use the rain skill on a sunny day, you can still force a challenge raid.

Local event

Local event: It is a sudden event that completely changes the content of a specific area in a short period of time. For example, Wolf Hunt is a ranking event in the early ranking area, and it is a ranking competition in the form of a tournament, and PvP is possible at the same time. The number of wolf tails is displayed on the head, and if you die, all the tails you hold will fall off, so naturally PvP will start. There are initially 3 sites for returning tails, but they will gradually decrease as time passes, so you need to choose whether to collect as many tails as possible and return them all at once, or deliver them little by little.

Local events are triggered every 3 hours, and the schedule is displayed when you open the map in the game. On the schedule, green is for regional events, red is for bosses, and there are regional events where guilds compete against each other.

Memorials

Memorials are direct interactions between players and the world, giving players a sense that they can change the world by lighting up content in turn (each content ends at a specific point in time) to prevent content monopolization. Regional events such as wolf hunting are also unlocked through these memorials, which only open periodically after all servers have captured a certain number of wolves in the Black Plains. By players interacting with the world, it can give a feeling of players directly changing the world.

The wilderness content is mainly divided into competition (PvP) and challenges (PvE), with the typical competition being occupation wars where guilds compete for items that can be owned on the grounds. If the occupation war is for small rewards, the siege war is for big rewards. Siege battles are basically dominated by the defending side, but as time progresses, players can use Goren transformations to destroy walls or run on top of them to disrupt the opposing camp, and there will also be man-carrying Goren. There is also a secret path that can only be used when it is not raining.

Challenge content can choose the battlefield boss RAID. For example, the sandworm Boss Queen Brandir, Boss design to take into account the unpredictable raid players and PvP may occur on the occasion, will not be too complicated, but will not be a simple meat shield up to hold, other professional output. The need for each occupation's formation and operation. Queen Brandir's mechanism of spitting larvae can also be used as a PvP element, the queen periodically spits out larvae, which attach themselves to the player and cause an explosion. If the larvae are planted in a more concentrated area of players, the damage is much greater. It also periodically digs sand to suck players in, and the BOSS must quickly evacuate from the surrounding area when it releases Quicksand Inferno. If there are players with larvae attached to them, the damage caused by an explosion between enemies gathered in a small space will be unbearable. These modes will be implemented in more forms in the actual game. In addition, the flying behemoth called Gigantrite is a mobile fortress that moves like a subway along a set route. Using it, you can travel to places that are inaccessible by normal methods, and you can even fight on it and engage in a battle of forces. Gigantrite appears every few hours and runs for 30 minutes.

Such a lively world, an interactive world, a world where challenges and competition coexist, are the values of the world that Kingship and Liberty strives to defend. We recommend players interested in playing Throne and Liberty to visit lootwow to Buy Throne and Liberty Adena which will enhance their gaming experience.
