4 TBC Classic Farming Spots That Can Earn You Thousands of Gold Quickly

Source:

Jul-17-2021

World of Warcraft is a game with a very complex economy that takes a long time to master. That means learning how to make lots of gold in the game can be quite challenging when you’re just starting out. This applies both to Shadowlands and to TBC Classic. Luckily, you don’t have to fumble around in the dark trying a little bit of everything until you find a method that works because there are plenty of gold making guides online. In this particular guide we’re going to show you some of the best TBC Classic farming spots you’ll want to keep in mind while you play.

Before we get started it’s worth noting that farming isn’t the only way of making gold in World of Warcraft. Indeed, a much simpler way is to buy WoW TBC Classic Gold from a trustworthy online seller like LootWoWGold. Buying the gold directly will save you a lot of time that you could otherwise spend enjoying the game. But if you’re one of those players who enjoy faming make sure to check out the spots we’re going to cover below. With that out of the way, here are our favorite TBC Classic farming spots right now:

Oshu'gun – Nagrand

This is one of the best TBC Classic farming spots out there because you can try it out while you’re leveling up. Nagrand is arguably the most interesting leveling zone in The Burning Crusade Classic and you’re bound to get to Oshu’gun sooner or later anyway. So what can you find here? Well, there are a bunch of different things you can farm for around Oshu’gun but the ones you’ll want to focus on the most are Motes of Shadow.

Motes of Shadow can drop from mobs found in a couple of different areas across Outland but the mobs here are particularly easy to farm because they’re clumped up together around Oshu’gun. The mobs you’ll primary want to keep an eye on are called Voidspawns, however, there’s a rare mob called Voidhunter Yar that also has a chance of spawning in the area. In addition to Motes of Shadow, Voidhunter Yar drops rare level 66 items that can be very valuable if you happen to find them while you’re leveling.

As far as the Motes are concerned, you will of course need these in order to create Primal Shadows. One Primal Shadow goes for anywhere between 18 and 22 gold depending on your server. It’s definitely not the most valuable Primal out there but does sell for a decent amount regardless. Although we mentioning being able to farm Primal Shadows around Oshu’gun while leveling, it’s better if you come here at max level if you want to truly maximize your gold gains. As with most TBC Classic farming spots, having a flying mount at your disposal helps a lot as well.

Bash'ir Landing – Blade's Edge Mountains

Next up we have a somewhat obscure and gimmicky gold farm that not many people know about. And even those who do know about it tend to avoid it because it can be a bit annoying. But if you’re willing to put up with it, this is easily one of the best TBC Classic farming spots at the moment. The item you’ll want to farm in this case is called Ethereum Prison Key and can be found in Bash’ir Landing in Blade’s Edge Mountains. If you look at a map of the area you’ll immediately notice that Bash’ir Landing is inaccessible by foot. Make sure you already have a flying mount before attempting this gold farm.

Unfortunately, getting a flying mount is only the first and easiest step involved. You also need to be Honored with The Consortium and do quests with them until they eventually send you to speak to Ameer, who can be found east of Stormspire in Netherstorm. Complete a quest for Ameer and then you will be able to collect the Ethereum Prison Keys from the various humanoid enemies around Bash’ir Landing. The keys can also drop from certain mobs in Netherstorm but farming the ones in Bash’ir Landing is better because of how inaccessible the area is. This guarantees that you’ll run into little to no competition.

Ethereum Prison Keys are a bit more valuable than Motes of Shadow and tend to go for anywhere between 21 and 29 gold a piece. The prices of these keys have been pretty stable lately on both NA and EU servers and will likely not drop in value anytime soon. These keys can be used to unlock prisons found around Netherstorm that can contain either hostile mobs that drop items or friendly NPCs that give experience with various Outland factions. Because of this, the keys will probably remain highly sought-after all throughout The Burning Crusade Classic.

Throne of Kil'Jaeden – Hellfire Peninsula

The Throne of Kil’Jaeden in Hellfire Peninsula is hands down one of the best TBC Classic farming spots, however, it’s also one of the most competitive ones. This spot is similar to the first one we mentioned only instead of Motes of Shadow you’ll be farming Motes of Fire. The mobs you’ll want to go after are called Incandescent Fel Spark and have about a 35% chance of dropping a Mote of Fire. The drop chance is not bad at all but of course the number of Motes you’re actually going to get will depend on RNG.

The most important thing you need to know about this farming spot is that your mileage will vary greatly depending on when you choose to farm there. Like any MMORPG, World of Warcraft experiences times of high activity and low activity. The most activity is usually seen between 4 and 9 PM and it’s during these times you’ll want to stay away from Throne of Kil’Jaeden if you want to avoid the competition. The best times to farm here are either very early in the morning or very late at night. You can get away with farming at peak hours but only if you’re playing on a low population realm.

Similar to Primal Shadows, Primal Fires also fetch a very nice price on the auction house. You can expect to be able to sell one of these items for anywhere between 28 and 35 gold on most servers. And given the high drop rate for Motes of Fire, you’ll be able to create Primal Fires at a consistent rate provided you’re not trying to farm during peak hours. Primal Fires are used for a wide variety of max level craftable items, including epic gear, meaning the prices will likely not decrease significantly at any point during Burning Crusade Classic.

Black Morass – Caverns of Time

The last of the TBC Classic gold farming spots we want to discuss in this article is in Black Morass. Just in case you’re not familiar with this dungeon, Black Morass can be found in the Caverns of Time in Tanaris. In order to gain access to this dungeon, you’ll need to do a different one called Old Hillsbrad Foothills, which is also located inside the Caverns of Time. Max level is not mandatory but is highly recommended since this farm involves pulling large quantities of mobs and then killing them quickly using AoE spells. For this reason, it’s best if you do this farm as a Paladin, Mage or any other class that’s very powerful in terms of AoE. Protection Paladin is generally the best choice here due to the large health pool and healing potential.

To start the Black Morass farm enter the dungeon and make sure you don’t trigger the boss encounters because that’s not what we’re after. Instead, you’ll want to be farming the spiders and crocodile mobs found in the area. The goal is to pull as many mobs as possible while running around on your mount while also making sure you don’t get hit too much in the process. You’ll also need a defense rating of at least 475 to avoid getting dismounted by the various mobs chasing you. Once you’ve pulled a good chunk of mobs, run back at the dungeon’s entrance and carefully run circles around the portal with the mobs chasing you. Cast AoE spells on the ground as you’re kiting and try your best not to get hit while you’re doing it. Naturally, this will require a bit of practice.

Once you’ve mastered the technique you can expect to make a whole bunch of gold with this farm. However, it’s important to do it with a character that has Skinning because a lot of the gold will come from selling the Knothide Leather you’ll get from the mobs. Another good chunk of money will come from the Netherweb Silk dropped by the spiders. Since this is a dungeon farm, you can go out once you run out of mobs and reset it so you can do the farm again as many times as you want.
